आकाश में कभी सूर्य का प्रकाश फ़ैल जाता है। कभी रात का अँधेरा छा जाता है । कभी धुंआं छा जाता है। कभी बादल छा जातें है । कभी बिजली चमकती है। कभी वर्षा होती है। कभी ओले गिरते है। कभी आकाश में गर्जना होती है। इसके बाबजुद आकाश में कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता है ।ज्यों की त्यों निर्विकार, निर्लिप्त रहता है ।

इसी प्रकार सर्वत्र परिपूर्ण परमात्मा में कभी महासर्ग और महाप्रलय होता है। कभी जन्म तो कभी मृत्यु होती है। कभी अकाल पड़ता है। कभी बाढ़ आता है ।कभी भूकंप आता है । कभी घमासान युद्ध होता है। परन्तु सत्ता ज्यों की त्यों निर्लिप्त, निर्विकार बनी रहती है । बुद्ध हो या मुक्त पापी हो या धर्मात्मा, यह निर्विकार सत्ता दोनों में समान रूप से स्थिर रहती है ।

प्रतिक्षण विनाश की तरफ जाने वाले प्राणियों में विनाश रहित सदा एकरूप रहनेवाले परमात्मा को जो निर्लिप्त, निर्विकार देखता है। वही वास्तव में सही देखता है । तात्पर्य यह है कि जो परिवर्तनशील, नाशवान शरीर को स्वंय साथ देखता है। उसका देखना सही नहीं है ,परन्तु जो सदा ज्यों का त्यों निर्लिप्त, निर्विकार रहनेवाले परमात्व तत्व के साथ स्वंय को अभिन्न रूप से देखता है। उसका देखना सही है ।

जो सुख इन्द्रियों और विषयों के संयोग से होता है ।वह आरम्भ में अमृत की तरह और परिणाम में विष की तरह होता है। अतः वह सुख राजस कहा जाता है। जैसे भोजन आरम्भ में बहुत प्रिय लगता है, पर जब भोजन करते करते पेट भर जाता है। भोजन करने की शक्ति क्षीण हो जाती है, तब उससे अरुचि हो जाती है। फिर जो भोजन आरम्भ में सुख देने वाला प्रतीत होता है। वही दुःख देनेवाला हो जाता है ।इस समय कोई ब्यक्ति जबरदस्ती खिलाये तो वह शत्रु की तरह प्रतीत होता है। यही बात सभी सांसारिक भोगों में लागु होती है। कोई भी सांसारिक सुख अखंड नहीं रहता ।

आरम्भ में संसारी सुख अमृत की तरह बहुत प्रिय लगता है। परन्तु उसे भोगते भोगते, जब परिणाम में वह सुख नीरसता में परिणत हो जाता है। उस सुख से बिलकुल अरुचि हो जाती है । तब वही सुख विष की तरह दुखदायी हो जाता है। अविवेकी मनुष्य आरम्भ को ही महत्त्व देता है ।आरम्भ तो सदा रहता नहीं।, उसकी कामना सदा रहती है। जो सम्पूर्ण दुखों का कारण है। परिणाम को देखने की योग्यता मनुष्य में है। परिणाम को न देखना पशुता है इसलिए वह भोगों में आसक्त नहीं होता

Sunlight sometimes spreads in the sky. Sometimes it gets dark in the night. Sometimes there is smoke. Sometimes it is cloudy. Sometimes lightning flashes. Sometimes it rains Sometimes hail falls Sometimes there is a roar in the sky. In spite of this there is no difference in the sky. As it is, the meaningless, uninterested remains.

Likewise, there is a Mahasarga and Mahapralaya in the perfect God everywhere. Sometimes birth is sometimes death. Sometimes there is a famine. Sometimes there is flood. Sometimes earthquake occurs. Sometimes there is a fierce war. But the power remains uninterested, meaningless as it is. Be it a Buddha or a free sinner or a Dharmatma, this formless entity remains equally stable in both.

The happiness that comes from the combination of senses and subjects. In the beginning it is like nectar and in the result it is like poison. Therefore, that happiness is called Rajas. Like food seems very dear at the beginning, but when eating, the stomach gets full. The power to eat is reduced, then it becomes anorexia. Then the food which seems to give happiness in the beginning. He becomes the one who gives grief. At this time, if someone feeds him forcefully, he seems like an enemy. The same thing applies in all worldly pleasures. No worldly happiness remains unbroken.

In the beginning, worldly happiness feels very much like nectar. But enjoy it, when in the result that happiness turns into dullness. There is utter disinterest in that happiness. Then the same pleasure becomes painful like poison. A prudent person gives importance to the beginning. The beginning does not last forever. Which is the cause of all sorrows. Humans have the ability to see results. Not seeing the result is animalism. Therefore, he does not indulge in enjoyments.
